  Dilution Probe Internal Assembly

Monitoring Solutions’ CEMEX dilution system is the solution for a stack gas monitoring system that provides maximum data capture with minimum maintenance.

Dilution technology delivers a clean, dry, non-corrosive sample for analysis.  The sample gas in the probe tip is diluted 20 to 750 times with clean, conditioned air, resulting in a system with no need for heat traced sample lines or dryers.

The Monitoring Solutions dilution probe is just one key component of an entire dilution system designed for high accuracy, reliability, and minimum maintenance.

The total system includes automatic daily calibration checks, automatic and manual purging of the probe, a dilution air clean-up system, and high accuracy analyzers.  The entire package is tied together with Monitoring Solutions’ CEMDAS data acquisition and handling system to provide reports that are guaranteed to meet state and federal requirements.

Features:

  • Corrosion Free Dilution Probe: The Probe tip is constructed of Inconel 600, 316L stainless steel and pyrex glass to eliminate problems associated with corrosive flue gas.
  • Plug-Free Operation: The extremely low sample volume (typically about 50 ml/min.) insures nearly plug-free long-term operation.
  • Auto-Cal Checks: Calibration zero and span gas is introduced directly into the probe tip, eliminating cumbersome stack mounted valve enclosures and providing a complete system check per U.S. EPA requirements.
  • Simple Sample Lines: No heat trace is ever necessary.  Freeze protection is occasionally required for high moisture applications in extremely cold climates.
  • EPA Approved: A diluted sample can be readily measured by existing off-the-shelf ambient monitoring instrumentation.  CEMEX uses only U.S. EPA Equivalent Method instruments for SO2, NOx, CO, and CO2.
  • Non-Criteria Pollutant Monitoring Capability: TRS, H2S, and many other non-criteria air pollutants can be measure with CEMEX.
  • Multiplexing: One system can be multiplexed to monitor more than one sample point, thereby lowering initial capital investment.
  • Field Expandable: CEMEX is field-expandable allowing the system to grow if the application changes.
  • Pre-built and Tested: CEMEX is factory tested and delivered ready to operate.
  • Reliable: All equipment used in a CEMEX system has years of field-proven reliability.
